The 2017 Innovation Program by IDG Ventures with Unilever Ventures and Amazon India is here
In an attempt to reach out to disruptive startups, IDG Ventures in association with Unilever and Amazon India launched the 2017 Innovation Program, focused on IDGVI’s core sectors, namely, consumer tech, software, fin tech, and health tech.
If you are a Startup looking to raise seed or Series A round of funding between $ 0.5 mil to $ 5.0 mil, this is the program you are looking for.
IDG Ventures India along with the efforts of Unilever Ventures and Amazon Internet Services Private Limited (AISPL), the Indian affiliate of the Amazon Web Services in Seattle joined efforts on the 2017 Innovation program. UI, a Venture Capital and the Private equity arm of Unilever, provides Startups and later stage companies a chance to receive venture capital and support from Unilever. IDGVI, an investor in UV, evaluates companies as part of this program for potential co-investment. If a company has been shortlisted, they receive technology mentorship from team AISPL and even benefits like AWS credits among other things.
Some might call it the most active tech-focused VC around, IDGVI ran successful programs in 2016 mainly focusing on software and consumer tech. In 2016, the program saw close to 1000 startup applications and IDGVI invested in six of these companies. The investment size varied from $ 0.5 mil to $ 0.3 mil depending on the stage the company was at.
Sudhir Sethi, Founder Chairman, IDG Ventures India says, “After the very successful 2016 Innovation Program, the 2017 edition expects to reach out to over 1,000 companies in the next 2 months and partner with/invest in select start-ups from Fund 3 to grow with IDG Ventures India’s unique growth platform.
