Overview
Key skills:
1- 3 years of Experience in SQL Engines, MySQL/MongoDB.
Deep understanding of Relational Database Schema Design and Performance Tuning
Dynamic Database Configuration management
Good knowledge of NoSQL Technologies like MongoDB, Cassandra, Spark.
Familiarity with data transfer protocols HTTP(s), REST, SOAP, JSON
Hands on experience on Linux/Unix systems
knowledge of Perl, PHP, Bash or Python
Good understanding of Statistics and Optimization Techniques
Excellent Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, and Communication skills
Process and working knowledge in 24X7 environments
Job Responsibilities
Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing, and production usage.
Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases.
A good knowledge of physical database design
Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances.
Install new versions of the database and its tools that access the Oracle database.
Plans and implements backup and recovery of the databases.
Controls migrations of programs, database changes, reference data changes and menu changes through the development life cycle.
Implements and enforces security for all the Databases.
Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.
Puts standards in place to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security, and performance.
Provides technical support to application development teams.
Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages, and procedures.
Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.
Experience in database replications, failure switchover.
Excellent knowledge of backup and recovery scenarios.
Analysis of Proper Index utilization and Optimization of tables
Monitor Space usage /growth of Database objects.
