Planning

Attend regularly scheduled event office meets.

Assist the Audio Engineer in identifying, assessing, and improving internal processes.

Assist the Audio Engineer in formulating strategies to identify new areas of revenue.

Ensure a safe and healthy work environment and compliance with all policies and procedures.

Understand set layouts and basic flow of events before reaching the event venue for set up.

Assist the Audio Engineer in designing audio plans according to client specifications.

Assist the Audio Engineer in distributing inventory in case of multiple events.

Update the Inventory outgoing register in accordance with the last revised element list provided by the management.

Cross-check the Inventory with the element list before leaving the workshop for an event.

Keep a check on the equipment which is being externally outsourced, sourced in advance, and returned in the same condition as supplied.

Help to ensure the Audio Technician has sufficient equipment and stock for smooth operational running.

Responsible for preparing, storing, and transporting equipment to event venues.

Assist in loading inventory as per the guidelines set by management.

Communications

Contribute to the team with ideas and suggestions that helps in achieving the desired goal.

Explore new technologies, practices, and techniques in the industry and look to develop and share relevant skills with colleagues.

Train and supervise the Audio technician to ensure relevant health and safety policies are complied with.

Communicate accurate event timing schedule to the Audio team well in advance.

Ensure that the event goes smoothly by effectively managing the team and by giving a comprehensive briefing.

Conduct a pre-setup briefing with all team members and communicate the client’s requirements.

Communicate to the Audio Engineer in case of inventory unavailability due to maintenance or repair issues that may cause a delay in the event planning and execution.

Ability to effectively communicate minor changes and alterations made by Audio Engineer.

Ability to understand the technical capability of Audio Technician and effectively delegate tasks.

Revenue management

Follow relevant SOP for outsourcing inventory to maximize profit and minimize costs.

Assist the Audio Engineer in delivering events within budget.

Assist in the invoicing process by making sure that all deliverables and additions are accounted for.

Execution

Ensure appropriate health and safety guidelines are followed on site.

Ensure excellent customer service and quality delivery.

To be present on time for all event setups and assist the Audio Engineer in troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

To be flexible and capable of multi-tasking during an event.

Ensure rigging is carried out efficiently, and all cables and wires are safely concealed.

Monitor the performance of audio equipment to detect sound-quality deviations or malfunctions.

Ability to assist Audio Engineer to fulfill minor changes and alterations based on the client’s request.

Assist the Audio Engineer in resolving technical issues when they arise.

Present a professional image to clientele, and ensure excellence in customer satisfaction.

Assist Lighting, Video, and Staging departments as and when required.

Post Event

Responsible for preparing, storing, and transporting equipment post-event as per guidelines set by the management.

Carry out de-rigging of all equipment at the end of the event, and ensure it is safely transported away from the event location to the designated storage area.

Assist in loading/unloading of the equipment when required.

Assist the Audio Engineer in analyzing event performance and identifying flaws.

Post-event all related equipment are crosschecked with the master inventory list to prevent any loss of equipment.

Maintenance and repairs

Inspect audio equipment and structures and identify any defects or errors that need to be rectified.

Carry out servicing and repairs of all audio equipment at authorized service centers only.

Ensure timely follow-up with the service centers on the equipment sent out for service with regards to the cost, estimated delivery time, etc.

Report any case of equipment damages/malfunction/shortage to the Audio Engineer.

Purchases

Assist the Audio Engineer to identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement in procurement related-processes and practices to improve efficiency and enhance effectiveness.

Dry hire

Ensure incoming/outgoing inventory is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure.

Receive equipment given on hire; confirm that the delivered equipment matches dry hire voucher details in terms of quantity, condition, model number, etc.
