Junior Audio System Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Junior Live Sound Engineer to join our team and deliver exceptional audio experiences for a variety of live events and performances. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background, a keen ear for sound quality, and the ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate sound equipment for live events, including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, and monitoring systems.
Mix audio signals in real-time during performances to ensure optimal sound quality and balance.
Regularly maintain and troubleshoot sound equipment to ensure reliability and performance.
Work closely with artists, performers, and production teams to understand sound requirements and achieve desired audio outcomes.
Conduct thorough sound checks before events, adjusting levels and equalization to meet performance standards.
Quickly identify and resolve audio issues that may arise during events.
Collaborate with event coordinators to ensure all technical aspects align with the event’s vision and schedule.
Keep detailed records of equipment configurations and changes made during events for future reference.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards while working with sound equipment and in live environments.
Stay updated on the latest sound technology and trends to improve event audio quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Live Audio Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of live events.
Proficiency in operating sound mixing boards, microphones, and other audio equipment.
Strong understanding of audio signal flow, acoustics, and sound reinforcement techniques.
Excellent ear for sound quality and a strong commitment to achieving the best possible audio experience.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules.

Education:

Degree or certification in audio engineering or a related field.
