Position: Mechanical Engineer
Location: St. Inez, Panjim
Experience: 4-5 Years
Preferred Qualification: Degree – BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech.
Timings: 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm – Monday to Friday

Responsibilities and Duties
• Design new engineering products and processes
• Collaborate with internal team members to produce the best and most efficient designs and deliver the requirements in a timely manner.
• Connect with vendors, manufacturers and subcontractors in order to achieve goals within set timelines.
• Preparation of testing protocols for design systems and equipment.
• Craft models and drawings of products using CAD
• Analyse prototype data and retest if needed, research new product ideas and methods
• Improve existing products and processes
• Ensure compliance with the industry’s safety standards
• Maintain accurate records, write detailed reports
• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
• Find creative design solutions to problems, present prototypes and designs to team and project managers
Skills and Qualifications
• Understanding of major international codes such as ASME section VIII Division 1, 2 & 3.
• Skilled in the design and troubleshooting of pipe systems along with isolation valves and related appurtenances and knowledgeable regarding piping isometrics, piping material specifications, piping support standards, piping components (pipe, tees, elbows, bends, reducers, flanges, gaskets, pipe supports, etc.) and valve types (ball, gate, globe, butterfly, plug, check, etc.) and familiar with key ASME piping standards (B16, 31, 36, etc.),
• Can perform Pressure Vessel Calculations as per requirements.
• Can create data sheets, technical specifications, technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations for vessels, tanks, equipment.
• Deep understanding of materials and corrosion. Select and recommend alternate materials to meet service requirements and optimize overall costs of vessels.
• Good understanding of equipment layout, process piping isometric drawings.
• Generate 2D piping and instrumentation drawings (P&ID) from sketches and mark- ups.
• Well aware of Industrial systems and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Attention to detail.
