Overview

A Reservation Associate acts as the primary point of contact for booking hotel rooms or services, handling inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms. They manage reservations, update systems with guest data, process payments, and provide information on rates and amenities to ensure a high-quality guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Booking Management: Processing new reservations, modifications, and cancellations using property management software.
  • Customer Service: Answering inquiries regarding availability, room types, rates, and hotel amenities.
  • Data Accuracy: Maintaining updated, accurate reservation records and guest profiles.
  • Communication: Coordinating with front desk, sales, and housekeeping departments to fulfill guest requests.
  • Sales & Revenue: Maximizing revenue by promoting hotel services and upselling packages.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor’s degree often preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or reservation management.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reservation systems, software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Attributes: Strong organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal abilities
