The internet as you know it is under threat from telecom providers in India and only You can save it!

Telecom giants like Vodafone, Airtel, Idea are lobbying  the Indian Government to regulate the internet. The internet at its very core is neutral and all data irrespective of it’s source, type, destination or mode of communication, must be treated equally.

How does this affect you;

1. You can be charged separately for using apps WhatsAPP, FB, Instagram even if you have paid for an internet pack.
2. Telecom operators will be able to regulate the speed of internet sites, which means you may be forced to use the sites that they choose for us.
3. If you are a startup business it will be nearly impossible to compete with the bigger established businesses to push your data to the masses.

But we now have an opportunity to stop this and demand that Net Neutrality stays in effect. Send the TRAI a letter stating the reasons why you believe in net neutrality, if you’re time constrained to type one out, you can send the one already typed out for you, check this link.

In just a few days, the 24th of April 2015, the Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRAI) is going to decide if India should have open and equal access to internet.

Let’s show the government and the companies that internet is a basic need and not a luxury. Join in the fight to save the internet.
