With mobile phone cameras, everyone’s an artist and has a story to tell. At Photojaanic, we’re trying to make it simple and fun to preserve life’s best memories. We’ve been printing stories since 2007 and are based in Goa and Singapore.
We design, develop, manufacture and market all of our products. Quality control and product innovation are important to us. We are also the exclusive marketer and manufacturer of the Kodak Collections premium range of albums. At Photojaanic, you’ll be working in a highly collaborative environment to achieve these goals.
We’re looking for a Senior Android developer to lead the design, development, deployment and maintenance of a new mobile app product. You would lead the entire app lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support. You would also help maintain these apps to ensure they continue to function flawlessly across new app releases.
Responsibilities:
Develop technical specifications and requirements
Design and architect the application
Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
Own the estimation and delivery of the app
Assign work and project manage a team of developers and testers
Manage app updates in an organized, agile manner
Work closely with the UX Designer and Product Manager
Qualifications:
B.E / Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent field
Experience developing, deploying and managing apps in the Play store
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices
Experience with offline storage, performance tuning, security, and RESTful API’s
Strong knowledge of Java, Android SDK and handling different Android devices
Knowledge of Android imaging libraries a big plus (Glide, Picasso etc)
Experience testing Android apps
Experience with code versioning, ex. Git
Familiarity with continuous integration a plus
5+ years of development experience
A love of photography
