Job Description:
The central responsibility of our data architect is to own, design, evolve, and optimize our conceptual and logical data systems. Specifically Elasticsearch infrastructure, today, and beyond to other big-data platforms. Working in close collaboration with our platform and applications development teams will be a daily practice. Your duties will include review current design and implementation details, plan and implement improvements and changes to support future platform capabilities, defining and leading operational monitoring procedures for the data systems, and supervising systems migrations and integrations. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a leader in Elasticsearch technologies for scalability, performance, and reliability; collaborate with leaders of adjacent platform technology components to integrate and consume Elasticsearch data; and lead the operations team to manage, monitor, maintain and respond to instability by example.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement effective Elasticsearch solutions, models, and templates to store and retrieve production data.
- Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming.
- Assess Elasticsearch implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
- Assess Elasticsearch technical implementation procedures for optimal performance and reliability
- Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams.
- Oversee the migration of data between operational environments: Production, Staging, Dev, Dedicated Tennant.
- Monitor system performance, stability, and availability by defining operational processes and procedures and serving as an ultimate escalation point for issues.
- Lead collaboration efforts to design solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
- Educate operations and development teams through hands-on training and individual support.
Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant field experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of database structure systems, specifically Elasticsearch and data mining strategies.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding problem solver.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
