Overview
Junior System Administrator – fresher
Responsibilities :
- Manage the entire network infrastructure of an organization along with computer systems and servers
- Design and install computer systems, routers, switches, local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and intranet systems.
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues, and offering training as needed.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems, windows server, mysql, SQL server
- Thorough knowledge and experience in installation and troubleshooting windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10
- Set up and maintain databases used in an organization.
- Integrate data from an old database into a new one or even create a database from scratch.
- Monitor the speed of the internet to make sure that everything runs smoothly.
- Analyze a website’s traffic patterns and implement changes based on user feedback.
- Monitor and maintain the security systems of an organization.
- Develop organizational security procedures and also run regular data checkups – setting up, deleting and maintaining user accounts.
- Strong documentation skills to create and maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., Google meet, Skype) to facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures.
- Exploring innovative tools to fulfill organizational needs through comprehensive research and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or B.Sc or Equivalent Degree in Computers field with 1 + years experience and hands on experience in the following.
- Working knowledge of Linux, preferably Redhat, Centos
- Working knowledge Networking (DNS, routing, switching, security)
- Understanding of network firewall rule configuration, application-layer load balancers, proxy servers
- Basic Understanding of web and application servers preferably Apache & IIS webservers
- Basic knowledge of database and caching technologies preferably MySQL, MS-SQL Server.
- Working knowledge of cloud computing preferably on Amazon web services (EC2/RDS) a plus
- Experience with Logging, Monitoring, Reporting and Alerting (Graphite, Logstash, Nagios, Sensu, or Statsd)
- Working knowledge in System Patching and Virus protection Products
- Programming and Scripting experience (Ruby, Python, PHP, or Perl) is a plus
- Computer security background is a plus
- Good English communications and writing skills
- Self motivated and quick learner.
