Overview

Our client is a leading developer of 3rd party cross-asset electronic trading platforms that support multiple investment activities of professional traders and hedge funds for trading Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Commodities and Foreign Exchange products across the globe at medium and high-frequency time-scales. 

This role is for our Execution Strategies team. XS systems provide cross asset class benchmark execution strategies, rules based execution strategies, and trajectory crossing. The team is responsible for the full software life cycle of these systems. We work closely with our business partners in sales and trading, risk management, compliance, operations, research and other technology teams at Morgan Stanley.

We’re looking for an experienced systems integrator/systems engineer/dev-ops engineer to join our product development and management team.

 

Requirements:
Detail oriented, high-energy, positive can-do attitude that considers no job too big or too small
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to work well with remote peers
Experience working in a bare-metal Linux environment
Working knowledge of python, Perl or equivalent scripting experience will be considered
Experience in large scale plant management /operational support /risk management.
Experience with FIX protocol
Experience in the Algo / SOR / Electronic Trading business
Configuration management experience, we use a custom template-driven tool, no specific tooling experience is necessary

Bonus Points:
Experience with q/KDB, exchange, or market-data connectivity, supporting trading engines, or other front-office trading technology operations
Working knowledge of C++/Java/Matlab System Identification and Trading toolboxes, the application stack we deploy and run is written in these.
