Overview

Need to have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in frontend technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Deep understanding of CSS and JS. 
  • Thorough understanding of development of responsive/mobile-first web pages.
  • Understanding of graceful degradation principles for different levels of browser support. 
  • Working knowledge of best practices for web performance optimisation.
  • Familiarity with browser testing and debugging.
  • Working knowledge of PHP. 
  • A firm grasp of SEO / SEM best practices.
  • Familiarity with Design tools such as Illustrator, Fireworks and Photoshop.
  • Thorough knowledge of JavaScript. Should be comfortable using jQuery and other JS libraries
  • Experience with Sass

 

Good to have:

  • Experience with Git workflow
  • Working knowledge of SVG and Canvas elements.
  • Working knowledge  of web animation using CSS, SVGs or JS
  • Experience with a modern front-end framework like React, Ember or Angular
  • Familiarity with Sketch (Design tool)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building beautiful websites using front-end technologies 
  • Using semantic HTML5 and CSS preprocessors for digital platforms including marketing sites, web applications, eCommerce sites and digital products.
  • Browser testing and debugging 
  • Work closely with the Designers and WordPress developers to build the finished product
