About the job
We are looking to hire our first Frontend Engineer with prior experience working on consumer applications and believes in the design to make it comfortable for a user to interact with a product. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing user interface components using React.js concepts and workflows such as webpack, graphql, styled components, hooks etc. You will also be responsible for profiling and improving front-end performance and documenting our front-end codebase.
To ensure success as a React.js Developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of JavaScript and React concepts, excellent front-end coding skills, and a good understanding of progressive web applications. Ultimately, a top-class React.js Developer should be able to design and build modern user interface components to enhance application performance.

You will get to work directly with the core founding team, contribute to the design and architectural decisions, get an opportunity to talk to our Ambassadors and users to better understand the market and their needs, and integrate AI to create a near-real experience.

Qualifications
4-7 years of previous work experience
3-4 years of React.js experience

Technical skills
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML and front-end languages
Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Graphql
Experience with user interface design
Experience working any of the video streaming services like vonage, twilio etc.
Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software
Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
Familiarity with RESTful APIs
Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
A knack for benchmarking and optimization
Experience with TypeScript
Familiarity with code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN etc)
