About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Network / IT Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot IT systems and network infrastructure for our clients in Goa. The role involves onsite and remote technical support, network configuration, and ensuring reliable day-to-day IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and LAN/WAN networks.
Troubleshoot internet connectivity, Wi-Fi coverage, network performance, and VPN issues.
Configure and support desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
Install and maintain Windows operating systems, business applications, and endpoint security software.
Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, email configuration, and user account administration.
Manage network addressing, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and access permissions.
Monitor system health, apply updates, and perform preventive maintenance.
Configure and check backups, and assist with data recovery when required.
Coordinate with internet service providers and hardware or software vendors to resolve issues.
Maintain records of IT assets, network layouts, configurations, and support requests.
Visit client sites across Goa for installations, troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance.
Explain technical issues clearly to clients and follow through until resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field; relevant practical experience will also be considered.
Practical experience in IT support, network administration, or field engineering.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and wireless networking.
Experience configuring networking equipment from brands such as Cisco, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, TP-Link, Fortinet, or Sophos.
Good knowledge of Windows desktop support and hardware troubleshooting.
Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, antivirus tools, and basic IT security practices.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.
Willingness to travel to client locations across Goa.
Preferred Skills
CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or relevant Microsoft certification.
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, NAS devices, and backup solutions.
Familiarity with structured cabling, patch panels, and network testing tools.
Exposure to Linux, virtualization, CCTV/IP cameras, or VoIP systems.
Previous experience supporting multiple clients in an IT services environment.
Knowledge of Konkani or Hindi for local client communication.
Working Conditions
Primarily onsite and client-facing, with remote support as needed. Occasional after-hours support may be required for planned maintenance or urgent incidents.
