A Visualization of Network Signal Strength in Goa
Here’s something interesting we found. A map of the cellular signal strength around Goa. Most of us won’t need a map totell us how bad the situation is, but it’s nice to visualize the data anyway.
As suggested by the screenshots, the network connectivity was found to be very poor across various areas in Goa. Porvorim was found to have a very poor connectivity which is very disappointing given the that it is one of Goa’s fastest developing region. The network connectivity in South Goa was found to be worse than that in North Goa.
The visualizations and analysis are based on the collected data, including cellular coverage maps that show exactly how strong signal is in a particular area, as well as all the nearby towers for any network provider. The data is collected by users of OpenSignal’s Android and iPhone apps across the world.
