Summary of the role

This opportunity involves working with the amazing teams at two organizations, YarnsandFibers.com & Sensible.Earth, who have a shared vision to create a positive and purposeful impact for a sustainable future. The primary role (70%) involves establishing and building connections with various brands, companies, and influencers to onboard them as a member of YarnsandFibers.com. The secondary role (30%) includes management of the infrastructure and coordination between the various teams at the Goa centre. This job is based out of the Sensible.Earth Centre in Goa.

What you will do

As a Sales Associate, you’ll be selling and promoting the products and services of the world’s premier textile market intelligence platform, YarnsandFibers.com. Your ability to create and develop influential relationships with your prospective customers will serve them well and develop your business to meet growth objectives. You’ll operate with a high level of purpose, passion, and integrity. As a member of our sales team, you’ll thrive off the fast pace environment and find purpose in your work to help make textiles more sustainable.

 

Responsibilities and duties (70% of the role)

  • Establish, maintain, and develop strong business relationships with prospective companies via various modes of communication to grow revenue
  • Representing our brand as the first point of contact to qualify new sales leads
  • Develop and implement sales strategies that meet or exceed our sales objectives
  • Understand and continually educate yourself on the prospective companies to identify how our products meet their needs
  • Conduct market research to expand the company’s reach and connect with various influencers and brands globally
  • Conduct regular business review by creating activity reports, results reports, and weekly/monthly plans
  • Partner with other teams to drive leads engagement and contribute to the team efforts

 

Experience/skills required

1. Bachelor’s degree (preferably in textiles/fashion, business, management, or related degree)

2. Experience: 0-1 years’ experience

3. Previous experience in client communication is a plus

4. Passionate to work on fostering sustainability

5. Self-starter and energetic with the ability to perform with a fast turnaround time

6. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Sensible.Earth is seeking dedicated achievers with a passion for sustainability to support the core team at the centre that will soon be home to amazing start-ups that want to advance the frontiers of sustainable business. You are a self-motivated multi-tasker who enjoys an entrepreneurial and community environment; and takes ownership of strategic and tactical tasks alike. You are excited about gaining a deep understanding of the landscape of sustainability in India by the mentors from a base in its most creative center – Goa.

 

Responsibilities and duties (30% of the role)

  • Manage the sustainable centre’s infrastructure and operations on a day-to-day basis
  • Infrastructure co-ordination between the various team members to support them in various projects
