TechSparks, Celebrating Emerging Entrepreneurs

Techsparks is currently circling the sun for the 6th time this year and like the years that came before, this one too will set out to achieve its overall goal of encouraging a spark of innovation and determination in all their entrepreneurs and undoubtedly succeed in doing so. But before we get to how they did that, let’s find out a little more about how this all came into fruition

The Beginning

In 2010, YourStory switched havens from Mumbai to Bangalore. In doing so they discovered that people had come up with brilliant ideas and schemes that could help in shaping the nation’s progress. But like many cases this progress would be hindered by lack of opportunity, in this case being no platform to showcase these ideas. So rather than leaving this untapped reservoir of human potential go to waste, TechSparks has decided to carry this weight upon their shoulders and do the needful. And for this reason,a lot of startup companies currently reigning in on the markets rightly owe their success to this initiative.

The Platform

And now we get on to the How they did it. In an ingenious twist of corporate workings, rather than put the pressure on the young entrepreneurs themselves, they however chose to shine the spotlight on them. “We wanted to tell the entrepreneurs you are a star and what you do matters. We wanted people to come and experience what was on offer and go away inspired, ready to work on their next big goal” is what Techsparks proudly declares. This clearly showcases the need and desire to bring start-ups into the mix, in the hope of introducing newer and fresher concepts that would help mark India as a hub for start-ups. By being a part of TechSparks, people are able to discover products and innovations that would help benefit the lives of billions. And if you are a start-up with your own brand of uniqueness and looking for a way to let the people know you are out there, why not showcase that here. You could end up leaving with a lot more than you came with, like so many have before.
