Overview

  • Attend the students’ assembly and maintain the respective class discipline during and after assembly.
  • Take attendance on time and check the previous day absentees leave forms.
  • Maintain class discipline and ensure that children are neat and tidy with proper dress code.
  • Teach all the subjects of the respective class in accordance with the time table and the syllabus given. Where allocated to teach subjects of other classes as instructed by the school management.
  • Keep a track of the children’s Ribbon Chart and Issue Merits & Demerits to the children as and when needed.
  • Submit the behaviour book to the school office every week and the merit/demerit record during the gift/merit shop days.
  • Check the student’s books, to correct them and submit to the school office when asked for.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the class and its surrounding area.
  • Prepare and submit lesson planners to the Head Teacher/Director as and when requested.
  • Take up remedial classes for weaker children after consulting with the Head Teacher/Director.
  • Help children in the groupings and other school functions and competitions as and when needed and also to conduct class competitions as per the monthly planner.
  • Prepare question papers for the monthly reviews and for the three terms of the academic year. Also to maintain the marks record of the children and submit to the office when required.
  • Assist the P.E. teacher during Physical Education and Sports classes. Assist teachers taking up extracurricular activities to keep them informed about the absentees.
  • Attend the staff meeting and bring out constructive suggestions. Attend training/workshops conducted for the staff of SNS during the academic year.
  • Submit the monthly requirements of teaching needs every month on time.
  • Look after the assets of the school, especially the class for which responsibility is given, report to the school authorities immediately if any damages are found.
  • Act as a responsible teacher to the class and the school as a whole and attend to any emergencies within your capability when the need arises.
  • Prepare the children mentally to appear for the examinations and always speak positively to the staff and students.

The El Shaddai Charitable Trust is a registered, non-profit Charity working in Goa and other States of India, implementing the Child Rights and Juvenile Justice for orphans, street children and children coming from economically underprivileged conditions. Children are cared and provided with food, clothing, shelter and education, for a better future. We have residential Homes, Day Care Centres, Community Centres, and Cottages for the seniors who are attending University, Colleges, Technical Institutions and Professional Training Centres & working with us as Trainees and Staff. We have Manna Khana free food distribution programme on week days. Manna takeaway packets are provided for around 300 poor children and adults living on the streets.

We have a number of schools in the slum areas providing educational facilities to the children. In addition to this, our outreach projects continue to benefit and change lives in the South-West States of India. El Shaddai has impacted over 4000 children and continues to touch more lives through its various initiatives. We want to reach out to many more children with the love of God. In the year 2013, ESCT has been accredited by Credibility Alliance which is one of the Leading Accreditation Agencies in India.
